Dear Patient,

We hope this letter finds you and your family safe and well. Covid-19 has been a challenging time for all of us and we understand that many of you have had to wait for dental care. We deeply appreciate your understanding while we were closed to do our part to control the spread of the coronavirus.

We are pleased to announce that we are now in a gradual reopening process for patient care with treatment limited to emergencies, urgent treatment and treatment that was left incomplete during shutdown. We look forward to the return of our hygienists as part of our second stage and will be calling all patients once we are ready to begin scheduling those appointments.

Your health and well being continue to be our highest priority as we have carefully prepared and updated our practice procedures and trained our staff to do all that we can to minimize the risk of Covid-19 for our patients and team members. Please be assured that we will be taking care of you just as well as we will be taking care of our families.

Please be aware that going forward there are several new protocols to keep both you and us safe:

Before your appointment:

  • all patients will be pre-screened for Covid-19 symptoms over the phone

Day of your appointment:

  • call us once you arrive in our parking lot and we will communicate when to enter
  • wear your own mask and use the hand sanitizer in our own vestibule before entering
  • we will be taking your temperature with an infrared thermometer
  • we ask that only the patient being treated enters the office, except for a parent or guardian. Anyone else should refrain from attending or remain in your vehicle.
  • bring a pen in case one is needed
  • our patient washroom facilities are closed

Our goal is to make your visit as efficient as we can and we will aim to take you directly to the treatment room. Most importantly if you do not feel well, please stay home and call us prior to your appointment.

Your Treatment:

  • all rooms will be completely sterilized before each patient is seated
  • patients will be given a hydrogen peroxide mouth rinse prior to treatment
  • all operatories have hig-volume air filtration and air purifiers will be installed
  • our team will follow guidelines as set forth by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons and Public Health
  • the dental team has personal protective equipment and this will be changed between patients
  • all surfaces that come in contact with the patient will be wiped with a high level disinfectant
  • you will be asked to use hand sanitizer upon exiting the treatment room

Checking Out After your appointment:

  • we will ask you to use hand sanitizer upon arriving at the front desk
  • acylic barriers are in place at the front desk to protect against sneese droplets
  • debit machines will be wiped with a disinfectant after each transaction
  • receipts and copies of claims will be emailed unless a paper copy is requested.

We look forward to seeing you again soon! Should you have any questions please feel free to call us and we would be happy to discuss your care and required precautions prior to your treatment.
